There must be two Michael McCaskeys associated with the Bears–the one so lavishly praised by reader Nick Kokkinias (“Other Views,” Aug. 19) and the one whose stewardship saddled us with Stan Thomas, Dave Wannstedt, Rick Mirer, Mark Hatley, John Thierry, Rashaan Salaam, Curtis Enis and Cade McNown, as well as the botched hiring of Dave McGinnis and the actual hiring of bewildered Dick Jauron.
Add the failure to get a new stadium deal in place and it’s a very sorry legacy indeed.
