Thank you for Salim Muwakkil’s insightful column on Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestinian territory.
It appropriately accompanies the Tribune’s front-page article on the young Palestinian who became a suicide bomber.
As long as Israel continues its brutal occupation, its confiscation of Palestinian land and its destruction of Palestinian property, hopes and lives, then there will be more suicide bombers.
Mr. Muwakkil reminds us that we Americans share some of the blame because for more than two decades we have continued to send Israel more than $3 billion every year in aid while turning a blind eye to Israeli abuses.
