– The Transportation Department has granted rights to three U.S. airlines to provide service to Vietnam through code-sharing arrangements. Delta Air Lines will offer service on Air France to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi; Northwest Airlines will code-share flights with Malaysia Airlines and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi; and United Airlines will partner up with All Nippon Airways, Thai Airways International and Lufthansa for service to Hanoi. American Airlines and Vietnam Airlines have a code-sharing arrangement that will take affect next year.

– United Express will operate four daily flights between Charlotte and Washington beginning Oct. 31. The service will allow customers to connect to major destinations from United Airlines’ hub at Dulles International Airport in Washington.
