Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I don’t know what is happening with drivers today, but there should be some retraining.

A good place to begin would be with the following:

– When turning left, get out to the middle of the street to turn; don’t stop by the pedestrian lane and then dart out when the light changes to make the turn.

– There is no need for any wisecracks to be directed toward the pedestrian in such cases–the pedestrian is right and you are wrong.

– Believe it or not, pedestrians come first. When you are turning right on a green light or turning left and a person is in the middle of the street, let the person pass before turning.

– A stop sign or stoplight means “stop,” not “cruise through” or “slow.”

– Disabled parking means just that–it is not for the lazy but for the person with a disability.

If you know someone who doesn’t follow one of the above, cut this out and hand it to the person. Maybe he or she will get the hint.
