Josephine Helen Manney, nee Kaczynski, age 94, devoted daughter of the late Helen and Jacob; cherished sister of the late Alexander, Theodore, Harriet, Theodore and Stanley; beloved aunt of Theodore, Kathleen and David; dear great-aunt of Lyndsey; cherished sister-in-law of Madeline and Wanda; fond cousin of Felix Jr; loving friend of Judy; devoted friend of many. Born November 10, 1906 in New York City, her family moved to Pittsburgh and eventually to Chicago. She was an artist with a wonderful talent for drawing and painting and maintained an active correspondence with many. Until April 2001, she was an 18-year resident at the Lawrence House in Chicago, where she taught the art class and was the former editor of “The Happenings” newsletter. Funeral 8:45 a.m., Friday, Sept. 7, 2001 from the Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Ave, Stickney, to St. Pius X Church for 9:30 a.m. Mass. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
