Janie Simpson, beloved wife of the late Joseph Simpson; dear and loving mother of April (William) Hill and Cardell “Doc” Simpson; devoted sister of Louise (Norman) Dunigan, Herdesene Love, Ezie Cates, Percy (Cornelius) Cates and Mae (Robert) Bridges. Janie was the most compassionate of women to family and friends alike. Her smile and her laughter were always able to gladden your heart. Janie’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Funeral services to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Metropolitan Community Church, 4100 S. King Dr. Interment at Restvale Cemetery, 115th and Laramie, Alsip, IL.
