Romeiser, 84, of Lake Forest, formerly of Glenview, died September 8, 2001, retired Mechanical Engineer from American Laundry Machinery Industries, Veteran of WW II where he served in the Pacific as a Lieutenant Commander of a PC Boat, former President of the United Way of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. Husband of the late Harriet B. Romeiser (1993) for 51 years; father of Judith A. (John) Machulis of Countryside, IL, Adam H. (Ellen) Romeiser Jr. of Lake Forest and Katherine Romeiser of South St. Paul, MN; grandfather of Melissa and Josh Machulis and Adam III, Emilie and Lillie Romeiser; brother of Julie Bangs of Aurora, CO; uncle of William Saul and Dr. Robert Saul. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harriet Romeiser Endowment Fund for Oncology Education at Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, IL 60045. Memorial Service Wednesday, September 12, at the Glenview Community Church, 1000 Elm St. (corner of Glenview Rd.), Glenview, IL. Burial will be private.
