I saw the World Trade Center buildings collapse in New York. I cannot believe that our nation’s defenses could have allowed this to happen.
We have cut our defense spending so much in the past eight years that our counterespionage agencies did not have the manpower to detect the preparations necessary for this awful tragedy to happen.
President Bush must bring our defenses back into the necessary numbers to actually provide for the national defense. Never again should we have to watch Americans die on our own soil.
