Josephine R. Matthews, nee Lisowski, 86, of Hoffman Estates, IL, beloved wife of the late George H. Matthews; loving mother of Virginia (Jack) Ginter and William (Maria) Matthews; cherished grandmother of Bryan Ginter, Julie Engelken, Colleen Rogers, Dana Matthews and Robyn Matthews; great-grandmother of Steven, David, Kurtis, Jared and Jenna; dear sister of Tony and preceded in death by six brothers and five sisters. She was an avid and experienced quilter. Visitation Tuesday 4 to 9 p.m. at Ahlgrim & Sons Funeral Home, 330 W. Golf Rd., Schaumburg. Funeral Wednesday 8:45 a.m. to Church of the Holy Spirit.
