Federico “Fred” Garcia, M.D., age 66, late of Chicago, Sunday, September 9, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital, born in the Philippines, living in Chicago for 25 years. Employed by St. Michael Hospital in Milwaukee for 10 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Roque and Aurelia, nee Gutierrez, Garcia; one brother Guillermo and one sister Cecelia Garcia-Santos. Survived by his children Jess (Marlene) of Darien, Alan of Warrenville, Jeannie Garcia of VA and Mike of Warrenville; two sisters Maria Consuelo of Chicago and Virginia Garcia-Tan of WA, three brothers Eduardo of WA, Alberto of Philippines and Jaime of CA. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Salvation Army would be appreciated. At Federico’s request, cremation rites will be accorded. O’Neil Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th St. (159th St.), Lockport where services will be held Thursday, 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Thomson Panakal officiating.
