Matthew J. Makar, 89, of Chandler, AZ, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2001 in Gilbert, AZ. Mr. Makar was born in Chicago, he was a newspaper pressman and an examinder for the Illinois Secretary of State Office. He is survived by his wife, Florence Makar, nee Midway; daughters, Patricia McGuire and Judith (Brian) Mayer; grandsons, Daniel (Sally) McGuire, Michael (Dana) McGuire and Jason Mayer; granddaughter, Koreen (Joseph) Frazier; two brothers,Theodore (Mae) Makar and George (Wanda) Makar. Matthew was a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, Perez Council. Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
