To blunt the impact of $2 million in budget cuts, the Elgin Community College Board Tuesday night approved a plan to offer credit classes when enrollment in the class will pay the teacher salary.
Judy Jobe, vice president of instruction and student services, said all courses offered last spring will be offered in spring 2002. For the spring semester, the college will initially offer only the number of sections that can be covered by the budget. New sections will be provided when the number of students will cover the cost of an instructor.
