In times of grave national crisis, it is comforting to know that some things can be counted on.
Before the sun set on the worst day in our nation’s history, a few profiteers at gas stations across the country took advantage of the situation.
They quickly raised the price at the pump (“Gas prices rise amid fears of shortages,” News, Sept. 12).
That they would exploit the American public at this time of tragedy is despicable.
