Donna M. Gurtler, 45, of Seattle and formerly Lombard, died in an automobile accident Sunday, Aug. 12, in Bainbridge Island, Wash. Mrs. Gurtler was raised in Lombard and worked for a Washington telephone company, said her mother, Rose Marie Metallo. “She also loved to read,” her mother said. Other survivors include her husband, Mark; a son, Calvin; her father, William Metallo; and a sister, Paula Maynor. A memorial gathering will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday in Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard.
