Welcome to the world we will leave our grandchildren. This is the new kind of warfare that will haunt our future.

For the past three generations, Israel has been experiencing the fear and helplessness of being victimized by terrorism.

Now a major terrorist act has hit us at home, and Americans can better understand what Israel feels constantly.

Instead of criticizing Israel for protecting itself, as our government and media have so readily done, maybe we should work in partnership with Israel to develop ways to fight terrorism, the scourge of future generations.
