Violet J. Westerland, 85, formerly of Venice, FL, and Chicago, IL, died Sept. 1, 2001 after a long illness. Violet, a loan officer at the Skokie Savings and Trust Bank, Skokie, IL, retired to Venice, FL in 1980, and recently relocated to California to be near relatives. Memorials services to be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross, Sept. 15, in Laguna Hills, CA. Interment next to her husband, Robert, at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
