Gino Teglia, age 82, of Marietta, died in Atlanta, GA, Thursday, Sept. 13, 2001. Gino was born in Chicago, IL on Dec. 12, 1918 and was the son of Sebastian and Rosa Teglia and was raised in Italy. Mr. Teglia was a veteran of World War II, part of the expeditionary force in the invasion of Normandy Beach and served under General Patton in which he was awarded the Purple Heart. After the war Gino started his barber career which lasted for 46 years until his retirement. Mr. Teglia is survived by his son, Larry Teglia of Norcross, GA and daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Jerry Thompson of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Thompson, Tony Teglia and Naomi Teglia. Funeral service will be Sunday, Sept. 16 at 4 p.m. in the Chapel of Roswell Funeral Home, 950 Mansell Rd., 770-993-4811, with visitation one hour prior to service.
