I disagree with Melissa Isaacson on canceling sports events (Tribune, Sept. 13).
All the broadcast networks have gone to continuous coverage of the World Trade Center and Pentagon crashes.
The cable news channels have done the same.
Even non-news channels went to extended coverage.
The Food Network went off the air.
After all this coverage, I want something else to watch, whether it’s a sitcom or sports.
Life has to go on.
If I keep watching the news coverage, I will only get more depressed and angry.
I would rather get angry about Sammy Sosa striking out with the bases loaded or Shane Matthews overthrowing a wide-open David Terrell than the thousands of people killed because of Osama bin Laden’s hatred of the United States.
