George Martin Ireland, age 88, former Loyola University coach, passed away September 14, 2001, in Itasca. Preceded by his wife, Gertrude A. Ireland; survived by his son Michael P. (the late Marie) Ireland, Prairie Village, KS; daughters, Judy Van Dyck, Los Altos, CA, and Kathy Schwieger, Addison, IL; two grandsons and six granddaughters; and four great-grand children. Funeral Tuesday 9:30 a.m. from Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave., to St. Lambert’s Church in Skokie for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
