Watching the events of the past week, it’s hard to ignore the incredible acts of giving, whether by people volunteering their time at the rescue sites in New York, Pennsylvania and Washington or others donating blood and money to various organizations. Why can’t it be like this all the time? Every day the Red Cross needs blood; the Salvation Army, donations. Though it seems like little good could come from all this violence, I believe that together we can make the most of this terrible situation.
