Dr. James J. Feeney, 79, of DeKalb, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2001 at Kishwaukee Community Hospital in DeKalb. He was born on April 10, 1922 in Chicago, the son of James Francis and Gertrude, nee Vietoris, Feeney. He married Kathryn Lee on June 23, 1945 in Chicago. Dr. Feeney came to DeKalb in 1955 and joined the DeKalb Clinic as the first Obsterician-Gynecologist Specialist in DeKalb County practicing until 1983. Graduated from Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in 1950. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife Kay; four daughters, Noralee Shippert of Freeport, Deirdre (David) Mihm of Lee, Meegan Richards of Big Rock, and Moira (Steve) Hopkins of Havelock, Iowa. Funeral Mass will be held Friday. Sept. 21, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in DeKalb, with Fr. Karl P. Ganss officiating. Burial will follow services at St. Mary Cemetery in DeKalb. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2001 from 3 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. A memorial is being established for Dr. James J.
