Curtis B. Bonds Jr., retired Sergeant of the Chicago Police Department and the Clerk of the United States Postal Service, made his transition on Friday, Sept. 14, 2001. His wife, Betty Jo; daughter, Cheryl (Dr. Loris) Rayner and son, Anthony (Helen); five grandchildren; four brothers and five sisters; and a host of other relatives and friends are left to cherish his memory. Sgt. Bonds worked for the Chicago Police Department and the United States Postal Service for 38 years. He served as President of the Booker T. Washington Alumni Association, Midwest Chapter. Services Saturday, Sept. 22, 2001 at Carter Temple C.M.E. Church, 7841 S. Wabash. Wake 10 a.m. St. Jude Service 11 a.m. Funeral 11:30 a.m. Burial St. Mary Cemetery, 87th and Hamlin, Evergreen Park, IL.
