Sister Lucette, Mary Brindz, died peacefully Monday, September 17, 2001 at the Convent of the Holy Spirit, Techny, IL. Sister Lucette was nearing her 82nd birthday and has spent sixty years as a Holy Spirit Missionary Sister. She grew up and attended elementary school in Wisconsin and graduated high school at Holy Ghost Academy, Techny, IL. She joined the Holy Spirit Missionary Sisters in Techny and made her First Profession of Vows in July 1940. During her sixty years of Religious Missionary life, Sister Lucette has been missioned to various places in Illinois, Wisconsin, Mississippi, Arkansas and Pennsylvania where she assisted in various domestic services and responsibilities. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Brindza of Caledonia, WI and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Catherine Brindza, and brother Frank. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Chapel at the Convent of the Holy Spirit, Techny, IL on Thursday, September 20, 2001 followed by a short wake service at 10 a.m. The Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in the Convent Chapel.
