Thomas “Tom” Langworthy, ofLibertyville, IL and Trout Lake, WI, passed away on Aug. 31. He was born in Chicago on June 14, 1918. Tom attended Northwestern University and Northwestern University Law School, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served 6 years in Naval Intelligence during World War II and then returned to Libertyville and entered the family business. He was a President of the Libertyville Chamber of Commerce, a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by Jean, his wife of 46 years. He is survived by two sons, Terry (Patricia) of Libertyville and Thomas (Jane) of Vermillion, SD; four granddaughters; and good friend, Lorraine Jolin of Boulder Junction, WI. A family memorial service was held at Trout Lake. Memorials may be given to the Northwoods Wildlife Center, 8683 Blumenstein Rd., Minocqua, WI 54548.
