Richard Samuel Lobes, of Carol Stream, IL, age 66, died Saturday, September 15, 2001 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR, born August 9, 1935 in Chicago to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Michael Lobes. Mr. Lobes was a truck driver most of his life. He was a Marine Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Lobes lived in Carol Stream, moving from Harrison and Cicero St. in Chicago in 1997. He was an avid fisherman. He was of the Catholic faith. Mr. Lobes is survived by four sons, David (Sonia) Lobes of Carol Stream, Richard (Catherine) Lobes of Winfield, Joseph Lobes of Hillside and Michael Douglas of New Zealand; five grandchildren, David Lobes Jr., Melissa Lobes, Megan Lobes, Joshua Lobes and Andrew Lobes; one greatgrandchild, Maya Margaret Lobes; several nieces and nephews; He was proceded in death by parents; four brothers; and three sisters. A Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 20, at St. Lukes Catholic Church, Carol Stream, IL. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m., Wednesday, September 19, at Salerno Rosedale Chapel, Roselle, IL. Burial will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, and Catholic Charities of choice.
