George L. Schlan, age 91, beloved husband and dearest friend for 55 years of Ruth; loving son of the late Tillie and Julius Schlan; brother of the late Jean Davis; fond brother-in-law of Irving Alberts; loving uncle of Barry (Susan) Alberts, Scott (Lisa) Alberts, Ted (Judy) and Frances Siegel; great uncle of Jamie Alberts, Kevin and Jason Lorber, Rochelle and Evan Siegel; cousin of Bertha Schlan. Mr. Schlan was a former director of Pharmacy at the Mandel Clinic and Michael Reese Hospital and for many years the Pharmaceutical buyer for Galler Drug Company. Mr. Schlan was a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Pharmacy with a degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Bacteriology. He was a humanitarian with great compassion for all and will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Graveside services Thursday Sept. 20, 2001 11 a.m. at Ridgelawn Cemetery, 5736 N.
