Milton Jerald Surkin, in San Francisco, CA on Sept. 15, 2001, at age 83. Born in Duboque, Iowa, on July 21, 1918, beloved husband of Nancy Elliott Surkin, for 52 years; devoted father of Janet Surkin and her husband, Robert Stillman, of Chicago, Debra Surkin Perloff and her husband, James Perloff, of San Francisco; proud grandfather of Jacob Freeman Surkin Stillman and Ethan Harry Surkin Stillman, of Chicago; brother of Bernys and her husband, Richard Levin, of LaJolla; brother-in-law of Bettie and Robert Fishbein, of Palm Beach Gardens; uncle to many loving nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Resident of San Francisco since 1960. Graduate of the University of Chicago, ’39, Navy WWII Vet., member of Masonic San Francisco Lodge #120, F.& A.M. and a Mason for 53 years and a Shriner for over 50 years. Graveside services will be held on Friday, September 21, at 11:30 a.m., at Mount Isaiah Israel Cemetery, 6600 W. Addison, Chicago.
