The last of three men charged in a series of bus-stop rapes on Chicago’s South Side was ordered held without bond Thursday.

Arto Jones, 18, who is serving a 4-year sentence for a drug conviction, appeared before Associate Judge Neil J. Linehan as prosecutors detailed the charges against him for his alleged involvement in the sexual assault of seven women.

Assistant State’s Atty. Jeff Allen said Jones, along with two other men, targeted women near bus stops in Chicago, south suburban Harvey and Riverdale.

According to Allen, the men approached women near bus stops, threatened them with a gun and raped them.

Allen said that in the majority of cases the men had threatened to kill the women if they screamed.

Ronald Harris, 33, is being held without bond in connection with the attacks while Eaton McKnight, 19, is being held on $750,000 bond.
