Georgia M. Clark, 70, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Aurora, died Friday, Sept. 14, in Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte, Fla., after a six-year battle with cancer. Born in Gilson, Ill., Mrs. Clark lived in the Gilson/Galesburg area until 1967, when she moved to Aurora. She retired in 1987 from Western Electric/Lucent in Montgomery from her job as a layout operator. In 1988, she moved to Punta Gorda, where she enjoyed fishing and boating. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Punta Gorda, Women of Moose Lodge 1619, Port Charlotte, AT&T Pioneers, and the Irish Club of Aurora. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Gerald; two sons, G. Dean and Jeff; a daughter, Nancy Tinsley; a sister, LaVonne Abel; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday in the Turner Funeral Home, 2952 Turner Ave., Plano.
