The Baltimore Sun Disaster Relief Fund

Thanks to the generous support of readers of The Baltimore Sun and SunSpot and other Tribune companies, more than $16 million in donations to support victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks has been raised, thereby earning all of the $2.5 million in matching money that the McCormick Tribune Foundation pledged to this effort.

Although the match has been met, donations continue to be accepted and channeled to those affected. Because the foundation and its partners are absorbing the administrative costs of the campaign, 100% of every donation will be granted to relief agencies to cover the costs of assisting those affected by the crisis.
