The Zoning Board of Appeals recommended approval of a permit for a sports bar.
North Beach, 1001 N. Roselle Rd., plans to rearrange its interior space by removing a sand volleyball court to create more room for meetings and dancing.
“The hardwood floor will give us the flexibility to do more events,” North Beach co-owner Bradd O’Brien told the board this week.
North Beach has two indoor sand volleyball courts, four bowling lanes, a game and party area, a bar and a restaurant.
The Village Board is expected to vote on the matter Oct. 1.
