The federal government and the airlines are understandably concerned about the cost of putting air marshals on daily flights around the country. It wouldn’t cost anything if airlines offered law enforcement officers free or really reduced fares provided they traveled alone and armed. The bad guys wouldn’t know who the security is, or even how many are aboard. Even the cops wouldn’t know each other until the need arises. Just an idea.
