In signing off on an e-mail to a friend, I ended and wrote “peace.” Seeing the word immediately reminded me of the ’60s and early ’70s, when my generation was demonstrating with our slogan of “peace and love.”
Remember those darn hippies? As a 1952 baby, I was one of them. We have come so far in our world, and so much time has gone by. Yet the simplest of things seems to always carry forward, so “peace and love” my friends.
