Laila L. Stoessel, 84, of Gurnee, IL, passed away Sept. 20, 2001, dear daughter of the late Robert and Hilma, nee Aro, Lampela; loving wife of the late Nicholas F. Stoessel; cherished mother of Nicholas Stoessel and the late Roberta Ann; grandmother of Michele and Marie Santana; fond sister of Helen Abby and the late Elma Guess; aunt to many nieces and nephews. Memorial service 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2001 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be privately held at Maryhill Cemetery.
