Joe Keim Builders has six homes available for occupancy at Deerbrook, a development of semi-custom houses in Aurora.

The six field models range from 1,787 to 2,376 square feet. Amenities and upgrades include decorative brick front elevations, covered front porches, gingerbread trim, built-in wood-burning fireplaces, central air conditioning, humidifiers, decks and custom oak cabinetry, trim and staircases. Some of the houses also have lookout basements.

Prices range from $226,400 to $264,900.

Construction is also under way on two more field models scheduled for completion before year-end. .

They include a 1,890-square-foot Davies, priced at $258,900, and a 2,002-square-foot St. Andrews, priced at $274,900.

The two-story Davies has three bedrooms, a great room with volume ceiling, brick front and a lookout basement.

The two-story St. Andrews has four bedrooms, a living room with volume ceiling, an extended kitchen and covered front porch.

The development offers 12 ranch and two-story floor plans. They range from 1,613 to 2,560 square feet and have three or four bedrooms, 2 or 2 1/2 baths, attached two- or three-car garages and full basements. Base prices range from $209,900 to $255,700.

Deerbrook is on Hafenrichter Road, just west of Eola Road, 1.2 miles south of Ogden Avenue, in Oswego School District 308. For information, call 630-898-9477. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

– Introductory sales are under way for the 271 townhouses of Canterbury Fields, a Ryland Homes development in northwest suburban Hoffman Estates.

The five two-story designs range from 1,512 to 1,884 square feet with two bedrooms and a loft or three bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, 9-foot first-floor ceilings, second-floor laundry rooms, full basements and two-car attached garages. Preview pricing ranges from $226,990 to $250,990.

The development is on Shoe Factory Road, a half-mile west of Beverly Road and the entrance to the Northwest Tollway (Interstate Highway 90).

– Five furnished models will open this weekend in Des Plaines at Park Laurel, a 95-unit condominium development of two 6-story buildings connected by a garage.

The first residents in Phase I are to move in by early October and Phase II residents, in March 2002.

One of the models is a two-bedroom, two-bath Kensington II. The corner residence has 1,555 to 1,570 square feet and is base-priced at $229,900. It has walk-in closets in each bedroom and in the foyer, two linen closets, dining room with corner tandem windows, laundry room with tub, and standard whirlpool and shower in the master bath.

All models at Park Laurel have oak trim, indoor heated parking and storage, full-size washer and dryer, central air conditioning and a covered balcony off the living/dining room or kitchen.

– Westar Properties will conduct an auction of a builder’s model located in the Terra Woods subdivision in Batavia. The auction will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Hilton Lisle/Naperville, 3003 Corporate West Drive, Lisle.

The 3,400-square-foot, two-story model, located at 2021 Stiers Ct., has four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a cul-de-sac location. The house also has a two-story family room with vaulted ceilings and a masonry fireplace, a master bath with whirlpool tub and separate shower, a first-floor laundry room, two-story foyer, full basement and three-car garage.
