The event: The 3rd annual Marshall Field’s Fash Bash, this time with Vanity Fair magazine, at the Chicago Theater, followed by a post-party at the State Street store. To benefit: The Auxiliary Board and The Evening Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago. Traveling show: The fashion/entertainment extravaganza debuted in Minneapolis, moved to Detroit and wound up in Chicago, with Brooke Shields hosting all three events. A good time was had by all: Don McLean’s band hung in there until the midnight hour, closing time. Fundamentally speaking: A tidy sum of $264,000 was raised for the Art Institute.
