George Bagdasar Matoian, 62, a resident of West Chicago, died September 15 at Central DuPage Hospital. He was born January 23, 1939, in Chicago, IL. George was an honest, loving, proud Armenian-American. A veteran of the United States Army, 1961-1963, granted honorable discharge. As a young man, George began his 36-year career with Allstate, retiring as an independent agent. George touched countless lives with his gifts of loyalty, story telling and infectious laughter. Among his many life accomplishments were the raising of his four children: Matt, Colleen, Daria and Tony; and adored grandfather of Alyse and Megan. George will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
