The vicious attack on our homeland by terrorists will likely have an everlasting effect on our way of life–a way of life we as Americans have enjoyed because of the sacrifices made and the blood shed by our fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers.
We are facing an enemy, Osama bin Laden and his associates, that may have cells in dozens of countries. Bin Laden’s is just one of many terror regimes in a network committed to destroying our country.
To fight this unconventional war and win, the United States is going to need many more of its best, brightest and toughest young men and women to join those now in uniform. It’s heartwarming to see many young people already flocking to recruiting stations to enlist and aid our great country in its time of need.
To those young people who have said in the past the only time they would enlist in the military is if our country was physically attacked, the time is now.
They need to help us now, if they can.
