Richard Nisson Covaciu, a three year resident of Frankfort, formerly of Merrillville, IN, died Friday, Sept. 21 at University of Chicago Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m. at Peace Community Church in Frankfort. Rich Covaciu was born June 11, 1965 in Gary, IN. He was a beloved husband, devoted father, loving son and thoughtful brother. Rich was a jeweler for four years at Van Sipma’s Jewelers in Homewood, IL. He is survived by his wife, Ann, nee St. Aubin; his son, Calvin Richard; parents, Bob and Joyce, nee Nisson; sisters, Becky (Terry) Morse of Indiana and Connie Covaciu of Wisconsin; brothers, Craig (Jolie) of Indiana, Rob (Lorri, nee St. Aubin) of Indiana and Tom (Tracy) of Indiana; parents-inlaw, Raymond and Barbara, nee Strons, St. Aubin of Manhattan, IL; sisters-in-law, Lorri, nee St. Aubin (Rob) Covaciu of Indiana, Christine, nee St. Aubin (Christopher) Lake of Manhattan, IL and Stephanie, nee St. Aubin (Bob) Chamberlin of Frankfort, IL; numerous aunts and uncles, many cousins, 15 nieces and nephews.
