Joan W. McNeely Shulkies, nee O’Neil, formerly of Oak Park, beloved wife of the late William D. McNeely (deceased March 1992) and the late Walter H. Shulkies (deceased February 2000). Joan is survived by her three children, Anne McNeely, Angus McNeely and John McNeely; four grandchildren; and sisters Carolyn Nicholson and Nancy Davidson. Graduated from Oak Park High School, and received her BA from Wellesley College, MA in 1947. A memorial service Friday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 219 W. Maple, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to Wellesley College, 800-358-3543.
