B. R. Tongren, age 76 of Peotone, died September 25, 2001. He was a WWII Navy Vet and a lawyer for 45 years at Clinton & Tongren Attorneys at Law in Peotone. He is survived by his loving wife Beverley Tongren nee Brunelle of Peotone; devoted father of Steven (Patsy), Peter, Neil (Lynne), Christy, Gail (Robert) Spaniol; grandfather of Jeffrey, Jillian, Daly, Laine Tongren, and Grant and Clark Spaniol; brother to Hale Tongren of Clifton, VA, Harry Tongren of Orland Park, IL. Visitation at the Fedde-Helfrich Chapel Saturday, September 29, 2001 from 12 to 4p.m. Funeral services at 4 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Peotone United Methodist Church or the Old Mill Restoration.
