A few weeks before the attack, I watched CNN’s Wolf Blitzer read e-mails he received regarding topics covered on his nightly show.
One in particular struck me at the time. It said that the person was sick of hearing Blitzer, Tom Brokaw and Tom Hanks telling us who the greatest generation is. Our generation is great too.
Are we? If the worst does come, will we give up our personal comforts without complaint? Will we accept gas rationing, energy conservation and other restrictions? Will we make sacrifices for the common good?
Are we a great generation? I hope so.
