John Roberts Corson, 81, died Sept. 27, 2001. He was born on Jan. 12, 1920 in Detroit, MI. He graduated from the University of Michigan. In World War II he was a pilot with the U.S. Army Air Corps, serving in Europe flying P-51’s. 1st Lt. Corson was awarded the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. He was an international businessman with TRW, the U.S. Dept. of Commerce and Borg Warner. In 1989, the Corsons retired to Bradenton, FL. Survivors include wife, Patricia L.; sons, Mark, Christopher, Paul, Gregory and David; daughters, Mary Ann Ryder and Madeleine; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Birmingham, MI on Oct. 13. Brown & Sons Funeral Homes inBradenton is in charge of arrangements.
