It’s great to see all these American flags on houses, but I ask, where were they on Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and, of course, Flag Day? Flying a flag on certain days says we have not forgotten World War II, Korea, Vietnam or what we stand for, way before this happened.
Maybe Sept. 11 was a wake-up call not to forget how many people sacrificed in the past.
On another point, I agree we have to help the airlines, but how about a payback when they make millions, as in the past. When they make big money again, they should give back to us or the government.
