Svend Eckart Hansen, age 73, resident of Glenview since 1966 and a resident of the U.S. since 1958. Survived by his loving wife and best friend Alice; one son Preben (Ann), one daughter Susanne (Alan) Hammerschmidt; and five grandchildren, Katrina, Dale, Lukas, Andy and Heidi. A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, October 3 from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2328 Central Road, Glenview. Interment will be private.
