Robert M. Kirk, age 62, of Crown Point, passed away on Saturday, September 29, survived by his wife, Elena; children, Carolyn Gibbs of Willowbrook, IL, Michael (Gaby) Kirk of Downers Grove, Mary Kay Simpson of Lisle, Jim (Michelle) Kirk of Chicago, Kristin (Doug) Peebles of Joliet, Debi (Joseph) Williamson of Hammond, IN, Jim (Marlo) Partin of Schererville; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Thomas) Duffy of Downers Grove and Karen Clarke of Minneapolis, MN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 2, at 10 a.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, October 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 until 9 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Ave. (1 mile south of Route 30) Schererville. Mr. Kirk was retired from UGN in Chicago. His favorite hobby was working on his Model Lionel Trains, and he was loved by all that knew him and will be greatly missed.
