This is regarding “Great teaching, better pay” (Editorial, Oct. 1). When other teachers can’t teach Johnny to read, I do teach Johnny to read! I am a special-education teacher. But test scores may not show “significant student improvement.” Does this mean I am undeserving of the “performance pay initiative”?
