Cut out the fantastic, funky flag above and display it wherever: your locker, your room or a notebook. Then feel free to express yourself by making a flag of your own for our KidNews Freedom Rules Contest.
Here’s the challenge–take one, some or all of the following things (no additions) to make your flag:
Paper
Newspaper or magazines
Bottle caps
Jelly beans
Ribbon or string
Fabric scraps
Paint
Toothpicks
Pasta
Gel pens or markers
Styrofoam
Aluminum foil
Sticks or branches
Wire
Potatoes
Feel free to use any tools (like glue or tape) you need to make your idea happen. You must be 8-15 to enter.
The kid who creates our favorite flag will win a flag T-shirt and $50 gift certificate to Borders. Four other winners will receive flag T-shirts.
