As a Mississippian with regular meetings in Chicago, Meigs Field is my favorite airport in the Chicago area. The ability to be on Michigan Avenue within minutes of my arrival makes for a much more efficient trip.
Although I’m glad to be an actual user of Meigs Field in real life, I first learned to love Meigs using Microsoft Flight Simulator. Wow! What a wonderful introduction to Chicago. I understand that if Meigs is closed, Meigs will no longer be the primary airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. That would be a loss for the virtual world and a greater loss for Chicago in real life.
