E. Dorothy Britton, age 78, formerly of Chicago, Friday, November 2, 2001, at Salem Village Nursing Home of Joliet. Survived by two nephews, John and Dennis Rezibeck, both of Ohio; dear friend Mary Frost Schwieger of Manhattan, IL; numerous distant cousins survive; preceded in death by her parents Harry and Ethel Gill Wehr; first husband Edward Schmidt; second husband John Willian “Bill” Britton; one sister, Evelyn Rezibeck. Dorothy and her husband, Bill, worked for many years as Volunteers at Holy Cross Hospital, Chicago. Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2001, at Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan, IL. Graveside services 10 a.m. Monday, November 5, at Manhattan Center Cemetery.
